Noise Jam; It's a workshop. It's a show. It's a party.
Conceived of and directed by Kensaku Shinohara. Sound artist Zaq Kenefick collaborates on this project, as will other Southern California creatives. LA-based choreographer, Kensaku Shinohara has been working with dancers, musicians, and visual artists since 2019 to make noise and move, experimenting with instruments and props.

in proximity, in real time

This is a series of sound-sensitive, site-interactive activities that will take place in and around Angels Gate Cultural Center through June 4. Betsy Lohrer Hall and several collaborators will consider the physical experience of sound perception, experiment with sound making, and respond creatively. She will offer meditative sound experiences to the public as well.
