Generative Miniature I
Made in TouchDesigner (TD).
Audiovisual miniature which explores the sensation of a self-organizing system; the continuous development of visual compositions linked to sound.

This miniature is made through a network of noise and sine oscillators triggered by another set of noise pulses which are mapped to the sizes, colors, and positions of the visuals.

VBODOBV [sounding videos]:
Breath of Heaven
“Breath of Heaven” is a meditation on air and water. Our lives depend utterly on balance between these two transparent, fluid mediums; yet we perceive their boundary only indirectly, through change, and depending on which side we happen to inhabit.

VBODOBV [sounding videos]:
Interspecies Communication '65
Inspired by a NASA funded study into interspecies communication between humans and dolphins. The study started in 1958 but in the mid-sixties it took some wild turns when LSD was applied to speed up the process. This is our tribute to those fearless explorers of the inner realm. Particularly, Peter, the dolphin. Who received most, if not all, the LSD.

Where We Go From Here
How does the perceived permanence or temporality of our location affect us? Where We Go From Here is a film and performance intended to recreate the experience of being in different places at the same time.

Where We Go From Here video was shot between 2018-2019 during residences in the Amazon, Brazil, and the artist's migration to Los Angeles. The footage was all recorded with a cellphone. Sound is a collection of fieldwork between these various locations.

Soundscapes [audio tracks] On-site June 4th:
Improvisations & Brief Eupneic Response
"I had the pleasure of collecting, what are essentially field recordings of Susan, inside her studio, activating her beautiful instruments. I wanted to respect these gathered sonifications by leaving them pretty much intact. My contribution is a short, hopefully unobtrusive, response based on the staccato of her breath catches as well as the legato of her deeper inhalations."

(Corrado is sonifier and arts facilitator.)

About the Artist:
Wabi’Sloppy (pronouns: dependent on code/context/comfort), is an artsy-ist and accomplished “artoiserist” whose eternal tinkering awaits total imperfection in the afterlife, where perfection happily can NOT… unless Endpoint be the everlasting present wherein imperfection has attained self-reflexive and perfected im.

Until then…

soundpedro2022 mascot: BOUNCEBACK BUZZY
By Terry Braunstein

Marco’s Mascot of Ceremonies costume for soundpedro this year builds on this year’s theme of soundwaves and reverberations. We wanted to proclaim that in this year’s soundpedro, we are no longer the disembodied voices of Zoom, but full-throated live apparatuses, loud-hailing sounds of every kind.
