Installation On-site June 3rd:
Interface Response Sonification
Interface Response Sonification (IRS) is an interactive set of paintings hung ‘Salon-Style’ which can be operated via a stylus to activate tones at various points across the paintings to produce unique tones. IRS operates much like a Stylophone and is meant to be played by drawing both visual and melodic connections. The ‘player’ is invited to reflect on discordance and harmony in both the visual and auditory fields.

Installation On-site June 3rd:
ANIMINGLES"
I have always been fascinated by relationships between people and their animals! There is something intrinsically magical about our communicating with creatures that do not speak our language, nor do we speak theirs. Yet over the millennium, between human beings and their two and four-legged creature friends there have been precious relationships established, at times closer than within many families.

"The Waking Dream" is an animation that features simple shapes and stick figures that when seen together form a larger narrative about the trials and tribulations of life.
"The Waking Dream" looks forward and back. It is a low tech realization of a high tech world. The animation explores the relationship of an imagined past and future, taking into consideration the years of the pandemic and the effects of isolation.

ACE [artist curated event]
Video presentation October 27th:
Up The Drone Suite
"Up The Drone Suite" deconstructs the concept of "drone music" to arrive at a sort of sound collage that is elastic in its associations and laser-like in its focus on achieving the state of a waking dream in the listener. Imagery is taken from life. Magic Realism is, in fact, Realism.

Sounds and images were captured at various times and places in Los Angeles County, 2020-2023, and collaged for this video project.

Performance On-site June 3rd:
A Wasted Pleasure
They say a wasted pleasure is when you prolong your glee, leaving you unsatisfied in the end. Drugs, orgasms, Jack in The Box and Sound tend to be few of the causes. This will be a presentation of clashing woodwinds and glitchy electronics on a search for these wasted pleasures.
