Installation On-site June 3rd:
inviting toothbrush.
Exploring privacy through the invitation of the ubiquitously private toothbrush to a quasi-public space via its sound ecology. tooth brushing has finagled its way into western necessity, in turn bringing unique unexplored sounds to a "most" private space, the bathroom. How will a public bathroom host this object?

The Mingler [a.k.a The Mɪŋɡ(ə)l’r] Mascot of Ceremonies
Collage vivant by Terry Braunstein.
Each year, the Mascot of Ceremonies wears a costume that features the soundpedro theme for the year.  This year’s soundpedro’s Mascot of Ceremonies is titled “The Mingler.”  He is both a conjurer and a talisman, representing soundpedro’s social and acoustical aspirations towards mingling in a world forever changed by COVID.  During the pandemic, not only were soundpedro artists separated from one another, but so were their sounds.

Roaming presentation and Performance On-site June 3rd:
WALK
WALK—a silent, durational, meditative walk in monochromatic and sculptural costumes. It is inspired by the medicine walks of Indigenous/Native American shamanistic tradition. It incorporates a butoh-paced walk, sculptural wearable art, and recordings of my own songs supplying the sound elements.

Performance On-site June 3rd:
Bureau of Thanks
Bureau of Thanks is a ‘listening post’ — an opportunity for visitor-participants to have the undivided attention of another human being, to be listened to. This interactive performance-installation is inspired by memories of form-fillers and petition writers who practiced their trade outside government offices in Malaysia where I grew up. It is also inspired by LA poet Jen Hofer’s *escritorio publico* love-letter project.

Performance On-site June 3rd:
Nonsense In, Nonsense Out: Tales Told by an Idiot
wikiGong.com presents "Nonsense In, Nonsense Out: Tales Told by an Idiot," a quest led by the enigmatic Professor Caractacus Coot, and celebrating AI's potential, its reflection of us, and our relationship with it.
Drawing on past themes, wikiGong.com returns to Earth and AI’s hall of mirrors, reflecting humanity from various angles, and creating a rich, immersive auditory experience from infrastructure and the elements (e.g. by the Electric Hydrophonium).
