Conchi Sanford

Conchi Sanford’s work reflects her own cultural diversity and calls into question social constructs that pertain to identity. Her interest is in the psychological impact the experience has on the individual and how that manifests itself in the psyche. While Conchi’s concentration is on sculpture, she creates pieces in a variety of mediums, which allows for much freedom. Conchi Sanford holds a Master in Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University (2011). She is an Adjunct Professor at Crafton Hills College and at Mt. San Jacinto College.

Susan Rawcliffe

The sounds of archaic musical instruments resonate deep in Ms. Rawcliffe's psyche; some are raw, like animals, like grief; others evoke human voices singing or crying; sometimes, strange tones buzz inside the head. Through constructing and evolving her own versions, she strives to bring the ancient sounds back to life. These ancient instruments were shamanic tools for transformation used in ceremonies, and it's this end of the equation that is seeking now to be born in her work.

Barbitar

Barbecue grill replaced with tune-able steel strings. Sounds terrible. Visitors can pluck with picks or fingers, or tap with sticks. Sound might get lost in a very open area, but near to a structure it'd be fine. Electronic sound guys might like to collect sounds from it.
