Chris Brian Taylor

Performance On-site June 4th:
Barkeep
Barkeep is an ongoing series of recorded pieces and a solo live performance approach for feedback, computer controlled effects units and performance mixing. By putting unexceptional and inexpensive digital hardware into a feedback loop, continual conversation ensues - coaxed by pre-arranged MIDI suggestion and facilitated live by performer - Barkeep chooses not to articulate sensibility but lets gear sing to one another into an unbalanced chorus.

About the Artist:
Chris Brian Taylor is from San Francisco and lives in Los Angeles. He did the punk thing and then the DJ thing, and has most recently been focusing on live feedback electronics. His projects have included computer supported solo work, various improvised groupings, and a compositional outing with the Subjective Pitch Matching Band. He continues to DJ house, techno and downtempo on occasion and plays music that's not that on the One Billion BPM radio show for Lower Grand Radio on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 9:30pm PST.
